The intended order is Eikthyr, The Elder, Bonemass, Moder, Yagluth, The Queen, Fader. Each one gates the next by dropping the material or key you need for the following biome, so the sequence is effectively fixed rather than a suggestion. Data read from Valheim 0.221.12 game files.

Every boss has its own altar and its own offering. Eikthyr takes 2 Deer Trophies at his stones in the Meadows, Bonemass takes 10 Withered Bone in the Swamp, and so on. The checklist above lists the exact altar and offering for each boss, pulled from the game files rather than a wiki.

Where a boss has a weakness, match it: Bonemass takes extra from blunt and frost and is completely immune to poison, so a mace beats a sword there. Only three of the seven actually have one though. Eikthyr, Yagluth, The Queen and Fader take no bonus damage from any type, so for those it is about avoiding what they resist rather than finding a magic weapon. The checklist shows what each boss is weak to, resistant to and immune to, plus the damage it deals back so you know which resistance mead or armour to pack.

Beating a boss lets you activate its forsaken power at any sacrificial stone, giving you a timed buff on a cooldown. There is one per boss. The checklist lists each power with its in-game description, active duration and cooldown, so you can pick which one to carry into your next fight.
