RustRecycler Calculator
Load up the recycler with everything you looted and watch what comes back out. Flip between the yellow safe-zone machine, a green one out in radtown and the red one at the power plant, switch the grid on to see what power is worth, follow the parts down to raw materials, and see how long the whole pile takes.

How accurate is this Rust recycler calculator?
Every figure is read out of the game's own recycler, not copied off a wiki. A recycler pays back part of an item's crafting recipe, and it does it in two separate ways: scrap comes from the blueprint's own scrap value, while each other ingredient pays out its recipe amount times the machine's efficiency. The scrap in a recipe is never handed back at all. This tool models both paths, so the numbers still line up after Facepunch retunes something.
The part most calculators skip is which recycler you walk to, and whether the power plant is up. Yellow safe-zone machines at Outpost and Bandit Camp still run at 40%. Green ones out at the monuments now start at 50% and climb back to 60% on grid power, ticking every 4.5 seconds instead of 5 once the plant hits maximum, which is also the only time the single red 75% recycler at the plant runs at all. Scrap is scaled off an older 50% baseline on top of that. Worn guns and armour pay out in proportion to the durability left on them, and components that are themselves recyclable can be fed straight back in, which the tool will follow all the way down to raw metal.
Recycle an identical pile at each, this is the gap in what comes back.
