With nine elements and every strong matchup dealing double damage while taking half back, a team of five that covers all nine defender types will out-fight a team of five high-level Pals sharing an element. This builder shows your coverage grid live and suggests the strongest Pals that plug each gap.

The 88 dual-element Pals are the key to efficient coverage: one Pal can counter two types, so a well-picked five can cover everything with slots to spare. The trade-off is defense, because a dual-element Pal can be hit super effectively through either of its elements, which the shared weaknesses panel accounts for.

It counts how many of your five Pals each attacking element hits for double damage. One victim is normal; two or more means a single enemy element can roll your whole party, which is how boss fights fall apart. Swap one of the victims for a Pal outside that weakness, the builder recalculates instantly.

Because your party doubles as a mobile work crew: whatever you bring can mine, log, and craft when you set up camp. The work panel shows the best level your team reaches in each of the twelve jobs, so you can bring a fighter that also covers Transporting instead of dead weight. For dedicated base staff, use the work suitability rankings instead.
