Depresso has a breeding power of 3000, which puts it rarer than 6% of all breedable Pals (lower power means rarer offspring). If you are starting from scratch, the most accessible pairing is Chikipi + Daedream: at rarity 1 and 1 they are the lowest-rarity parents among all 40 combos.

Is Depresso worth a base slot?

At a base, Depresso's best job is Farming: level 1 makes it the #23 Farming worker of the 29 Pals that can do the job at all. It also covers Mining (Lv 1, #56 of 57), Handiwork (Lv 1, #102 of 109), Transporting (Lv 1, #140 of 148). Its combat stats are ordinary (70 HP, 70 attack against roster averages of 95 and 96), so treat it as a specialist rather than a brawler. It is nocturnal, so it keeps working through the night while day-shift Pals sleep, which effectively doubles its output on automated bases. A food cost of just 1 makes it one of the cheaper Pals to keep fed.
