A base that keeps running when the host logs off, with the Hunters, PvP and base rules your group wants.
Pick the CPU, memory and NVMe storage your server runs on, from a plan or with the sliders.
Your base keeps running for the whole group, day and night, and every server is protected from DDoS attacks.
Order, and the server downloads and installs Subsistence on its own. Nothing to set up first.
In the config editor
Choose the difficulty and how fast the seasons turn. Turn the Hunters off, or keep only their revenge attacks. Decide whether players can hurt each other, damage bases, or raid them while the owners are offline.
For the power users
Connect with real developer tools and edit your server's settings files directly. Or skip it and use our simple panel.
Add Workshop item IDs in the panel, and the server downloads and updates them each time it starts.
Each slot keeps its own world. Pick the one your server runs, and go back to another whenever you like.
Run either branch of the game. Your players pick the same branch in Steam.
One place for your whole world: server name, passwords, max players, save slot, Workshop mods and game branch in the startup settings, a config editor for the Hunters, PvP and base rules, schedules you set for restarts and backups, subusers for your friends, a file manager with SSH and VS Code, and every other universal tool.

Accurate, blazing-fast output piped directly from the container. Paired with complete SSH access inside the Panel!

New to Subsistence?
Subsistence is a first-person, open-world PvE survival sandbox, played solo or in co-op. You struggle through changing seasons to build a base, develop its technology and gear up in a hostile world. Farm crops, fish, raise small animals, and mine and refine ores, while you defend yourself from wildlife, the elements and AI Hunters, who build bases of their own. The focus is your base: its power, its security and its resources.
Base items need power to work, so every base runs its own economy of power and raw materials.
Defend your base from Hunter attacks, and raid their bases to steal their loot.

Why rent a server?
A Subsistence dedicated server keeps your world online around the clock, so your group can play without anyone leaving their PC on. On a Physgun server you set the name, passwords, player limit, save slot and game branch in the panel, set the Hunters, PvP and base rules in the config editor, add Workshop mods that download on start, and get full file access over SFTP and SSH.
Your world stays up when the host logs off, so everyone can play on their own schedule.
Set the difficulty, the seasons, the Hunters and the PvP rules, and add Workshop mods.
Straight answers before you order. Still stuck? Real people are here around the clock.
