What is DayZ Mod?
DayZ Mod is the original zombie survival mod for Arma 2: Combined Operations, created by Dean 'Rocket' Hall. You spawn on the Chernarus coast with almost nothing, search towns for food, drink, bandages and a weapon, and slip past infected that react to sight and noise. Then you head inland to airfields, military sites and helicopter crash sites for better loot, find a vehicle, and decide whether the next survivor you meet is a friend or a threat. Blood, hunger, thirst and injuries all need managing, and dying loses your character.

Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead on PC (sold together as Arma 2: Combined Operations), plus the free DayZ Mod. Most players join through DayZ Launcher, which downloads the mod version each server needs.
Yes. Characters, gear and vehicles are saved in the server's database between sessions, so your survivor is where you left them when you log back in.
We don't limit player slots. How many fit depends on the CPU and memory you give the server, and you can change them later.
