How to rename DarkRP

Guide to renaming DarkRP gamemode folders and configuration to a custom name like StarWarsRP.

Renaming DarkRP

This guide assumes you’re using Physgun hosting.

Example: renaming DarkRP to StarWarsRP.

  1. Install DarkRP using Mod Manager.
  2. Rename the folder under garrysmod/gamemodes to starwarsrp.
  3. Rename darkrp.txt to starwarsrp.txt and update lines:
  • Line 1: "darkrp" → "starwarsrp"
  • Line 4: "title" "DarkRP" → "title" "StarWarsRP"
  1. Save changes.
  2. Update Startup Parameters: set gamemode to starwarsrp.

Ensure the folder name and Line 1 match. Line 4 should be capitalized properly.
