Using Admin Commands on Your Hytale server
Moderation tools help you keep your Hytale server fun, fair, and under control. Whether you need to remove a disruptive player, block access, or undo a punishment, these admin commands make player management quick and straightforward.
Important: You must be an admin (or have operator permissions) to run these commands in-game. If you’re not an admin yet, follow our guide: How to Add an Admin to Your Hytale Server.
Where You Can Run commands
You can run moderation commands in two places:
- Server Console (Physgun Gamepanel): type commands without a leading
/ - In-game chat: type commands with a leading
/
Example:
- Console:
kick playername - In Game:
/kick playername
Kick, Ban, and Unban
Kick a Player
Kicks a player from the server, but they can rejoin immediately.
Server Console
kick [playername]In Game
/kick [playername]Ban a Player
Bans a player so they cannot rejoin until unbanned. You can optionally include a reason.
Server Console
ban [playername] [reason]In Game
/ban [playername] [reason]Unban a Player
Removes a ban so the player can join again.
Server Console
unban [playername]In Game
/unban [playername]Tips
- Double-check spelling for
[playername](a typo is the most common reason a command “does nothing”). - If a command works in the console but not in-game, you likely don’t have admin/operator permissions yet.
With these commands, you can quickly handle common moderation actions and keep your server running smoothly.
